π° What is VIK?
VIK is VIKASA's internal reward token. Users earn VIK by:
- Clicking Claim once per day (base reward set in βοΈ Settings)
- Watching rewarded video ads (every 6 hours, amount set in Settings)
- Completing Daily Missions β watch 1, 2, or 3 videos per mission
- Daily check-in (opening the app)
- Inviting friends (referral program β T1 and T2 rewards)
- Unlocking Achievements (one-time badges)
VIK is not real money yet β it's points inside the app. In Phase 3, users will be able to withdraw VIK as real money (after KYC verification). Keep VIK inflation under control by monitoring the VIK Circulating stat on the Dashboard.
π How to Control What Users Earn
Go to βοΈ Settings tab. You control:
| Setting | What it does | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Base Reward | VIK per daily claim | Start at 1 VIK, reduce as users grow |
| Cooldown | How often they can claim | 24 hours (once per day) |
| Check-in | Bonus for opening app daily | 0.1 VIK |
| Video Ad | VIK for watching an ad | 0.01 VIK every 6 hours |
| Referral T1 | You earn when friend joins | 20 VIK |
| Referral T2 | Friend's friend joins | 5 VIK |
π Growth Tier System β Why It Matters
VIKASA automatically pays more rewards when few users exist and less when millions join. This is how it works:
3Γ rewards
Early adopters earn most
2Γ rewards
1.5Γ rewards
0.5Γ rewards
β
Benefit: Creates urgency β users tell friends "join now while rewards are high!"
β
Safe: As more users join, lower rewards keep VIK from inflating too fast.
π Daily Checks β What to Monitor
- Dashboard β Active Today: Should grow daily. If it drops, push a notification.
- Dashboard β Open Tickets: Reply within 24h. User trust = app growth.
- Dashboard β VIK Circulating: This grows as users earn. Keep an eye β if it's too high too fast, reduce base reward.
- KYC Review: Approve/reject identity documents. Required before withdrawals go live.
π£ Feed / Posts β How to Use
Use the Feed tab to post announcements to all users. Ideas:
- "π We hit 1,000 users! Rewards stay at 3Γ for 7 more days!"
- "β‘ New feature: Staking is live β lock VIK and earn rewards!"
- "π’ Referral bonus doubled this week β invite now!"
Posts appear in the Feed section of the app for all users.
π Support Tickets
When users have problems, they open a support ticket from the app. You:
- Go to Support tab β click on the ticket
- Read the user's message
- Type a reply β click Send
- When resolved β click β Resolve
β οΈ Never ignore tickets β unhappy users leave bad reviews.
π― Missions β Complete How-To
Missions are watch-video challenges. Users see them on their home screen, tap "Watch Ad", and earn VIK when they hit the target count. Each ad watched = 1 progress tick.
β Create a New Mission
- Click + New Mission button (top right of Missions tab).
- Fill in Title β e.g. "Watch 3 Videos Today!" (keep it exciting).
- Fill in Description (optional) β e.g. "Watch 3 rewarded videos and earn 15 VIK".
- Set Videos to Watch β how many videos the user must watch: 1, 2, or 3.
- Set Reward VIK β how many VIK the user earns on completion (e.g. 5, 10, 15).
- Set Expires At β pick a date/time. Users see a live countdown timer (e.g. "2h 30m left"). Leave blank for no expiry.
- Keep Status = Active so it appears in the app immediately.
- Click β Create Mission.
βοΈ Edit an Existing Mission
- Find the mission in the table β click βοΈ Edit button.
- Change any field (title, video count, reward, expiry) β click β Save Changes.
π Delete a Mission
- Click π Delete button β confirm the popup.
- Mission is permanently removed. Users who already completed it keep their reward.
βΈ Disable / Enable
Click Disable to hide a mission from the app without deleting it. Click Enable to show it again. Useful for weekend-only or event missions.
π± What users see
- Mission card on their home screen with title, progress bar (e.g. "1/3 videos watched"), countdown timer, and a green Watch Ad button.
- Each tap β rewarded video plays β progress bar fills.
- When all videos watched β gold Claim X VIK button appears β user taps to collect.
- If mission expires before completion, the card greys out.
β οΈ Seeing duplicate missions? Go to Supabase β Table Editor β missions table, sort by Title, delete the extra rows (keep oldest created_at). One-time cleanup.
π Achievements β Complete How-To
Achievements are permanent one-time badges users unlock automatically (e.g. "Early Supporter" after first claim, "30-Day Streak" after a 30-day streak). They cannot be manually granted β the system awards them when the condition is met.
π° Change VIK Reward for an Achievement
- Find the achievement in the table.
- In the Reward (VIK) column, change the number in the input box.
- Click Save β the new reward applies to future unlocks immediately.
βΈ Disable / Enable an Achievement
- Click Disable to stop new users from unlocking that badge (existing badge holders keep it).
- Click Enable to make it available again.
π Delete an Achievement
- Click the π button in the Actions column β confirm the popup.
- The achievement is removed from the system. Users who already unlocked it keep their record in the database.
β οΈ Seeing duplicate achievements? Go to Supabase β Table Editor β achievements table, sort by Title, delete extra rows (keep oldest created_at). One-time cleanup.
π Analytics β How to Read It
Go to π Analytics tab to see growth charts plus 4 summary cards:
- Total Registration: all-time signed-up users
- Weekly Active: unique users active in the last 7 days
- Monthly Active: unique users active in the last 30 days
- Total Reward Logs: total number of reward transactions ever recorded
If these cards show 0, it usually just means there's not enough data yet (new app) β they will fill in automatically as users sign up and earn.
π Reward Logs β How to Use
Go to π Reward Logs tab to see every VIK reward ever paid out, with the @username who received it, the amount, the reason (claim/ad/referral/etc.), and the timestamp. Use the search box to find a specific user's reward history β useful when a user disputes their balance in a support ticket.
π¨ Fraud Detection β How to Use
This tab automatically flags users with suspicious activity, such as:
- Unusually high referral velocity (many referrals in a short time β possible fake accounts)
- Abnormally high claim counts in a single day
- Review the flagged user's referral count and claims today columns.
- Click π© Flag and enter a reason to mark a user as suspicious (this also blocks risky actions like withdrawals once Phase 3 is live).
- Click β Clear once you've confirmed the user is legitimate (e.g. a real influencer with many genuine referrals).
Flagged users also show a π© badge in the Users tab and get a note in their Admin Notes history.
π Seasons β How to Use
- Go to π Seasons tab β fill in a Season Name (e.g. "Season 1"), pick a Start Date and End Date using the date/time pickers, then click β Create Season.
- Click Activate on a season to make it the current live leaderboard season (only one season should be active at a time).
- When the season's time is up, click End Season β this automatically archives the top 10 users by VIK earned into the Hall of Fame and marks the season as ended. Badges earned stay with users permanently.
π‘ The date fields show empty placeholders (e.g. dd-----yyyy --:-- --) until you click into them β that's normal browser behavior, just click and pick a date.
π Hall of Fame β How to Use
This tab shows the top 10 finishers from each ended season, grouped by season name β a permanent leaderboard "wall of fame." There's nothing to configure here; it fills in automatically when you click End Season on the Seasons tab.
β οΈ Seeing an error here? It means the hall_of_fame table doesn't exist yet in Supabase. Run the Seasons/Hall of Fame SQL migration provided earlier, then reload this tab.
π User Journey β How to Use
This tab shows a funnel of how users move through the app lifecycle: Install β Email Verified β First Claim β Watch First Ad β Onboarding Done β Day 2/7/30 Return. Each step shows the user count, percentage of total, and drop-off from the previous step.
Use this to spot where users are quitting β e.g. if "Day 2 Return" is very low, your onboarding isn't habit-forming yet and you may want to add a Day-1 push notification or reward.
π‘ This tab needs the user_journey table from the Seasons SQL migration β if it shows "No data yet," confirm that migration has been run.
β οΈ Important Rules β Do NOT Do These
- β Do NOT set base reward above 10 VIK β inflation risk
- β Do NOT approve KYC without checking the ID photo matches the selfie
- β Do NOT reduce rewards suddenly β announce it in Feed 3 days early
- β Do NOT share admin username/password with anyone
- β DO keep cooldown at 24h β daily habit = user retention
- β DO post in Feed at least once per week
π Seasons
Each season lasts 90 days. When ended, top 10 users go to Hall of Fame. Badges are kept permanently.
